Mine was walking into a little back alley industrial garage in Reseda in June of 1997 and auditioning for Zombie Joe. Lots of blood, sweat, tears and nudity later, BLOOD OF MACBETH was born and became a huge success. I was initiated?

First ZJU experience? - ZJU going Hi-Tech
Fri, April 23, 2004 - 1:23 PMI still remember the day I made a little web page and dragged Zombie Joe into my office to show him. The web page featured the Astroglyde flyer from December of 2000. The second flyer clinched my future with ZJU. Demon Valley Dreams put me in the ZJU Theatre as webmaster. (Later I also become sound designer)

Re: What was your first ZJU experience?
Thu, April 29, 2004 - 9:49 AMNah, I don't think so. But he WAS much greener then... :)
For the last play he wrote (in which I stahhed last summer), The Sculptress of Angel X, BackStage West had this to say about him: "While he is clearly only beginning to reach his stride as a writer and a director, [Zombie Joe] has already made a distinctive mark on Los Angeles theater." Go Zombie!!!

Amy's first ZJU experience?
Mon, July 19, 2004 - 12:31 PMMy first show was Chicken Little. I'd just gotten off the bus from Seattle and came in to see Jenna Harris dressed as a little girl in the lobby. "WHAT? Well, this actress really dives into her roles in a different way than I". My audition was for Zombie Zoe and Brennan Marquez - and I got the part. So did Jenna! :) It was a fun show, and set the tone for the GREAT friendships I have developed here in L.A.: cool, kind, folks with a lot of passion and heart.

Re: What was your first ZJU experience?
Mon, October 31, 2005 - 1:24 PMMy first Zombie experience was with Rainey ( actually the first time we met ) and I don't remember what it was called ( Rainey, a little help ). I had the best time, all the actors are really solid and the plays are tremendously fun. I always seem to get a little giddy at the shows. The Alice show was a great treat, we went a couple of weeks ago. ZJU is my kind of underground experience. Thanks Joe, and Rainey too for the introduction. -

Re: What was your first ZJU experience?
Mon, October 31, 2005 - 11:27 PMWow is right!
You must have been in it the first time around, no? Because I wasn't around then (must have been 10+ years ago???) and I think I would remember you if you had been in it the second time around 3 or so years ago...
That's awesome! As you might have noticed, Josh has a tribe profile, but I don't think he ever signs on... Well, now you know where to find us! :)
Welcome back around to the Underground!
(I'm Rainey btw. :)) -
